Next Point Boston LLC ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
What we collect
When you create an account or book a session, we collect:
- Name and email address
- Phone number
- Age group (for program placement)
- For minors: parent or guardian name and email
- Tennis program data: rank, sessions attended, coach notes, photos (with consent)
We do not collect or store Social Security numbers, payment card information, medical records, or government ID numbers through our website. Payment processing is handled entirely by Shopify and Stripe under their own privacy policies.
How we use your information
- To deliver tennis programs and track student progress
- To communicate about sessions, schedules, and program updates
- To process payments through third-party processors
- To improve our programs and website experience
What we don't do
- We do not sell your information to third parties
- We do not share information with advertisers
- We do not use your data for marketing outside our own program
Your rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your account data at any time. Contact us at info@nextpointboston.com to make a request. We will respond within 30 days.
2. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
For accounts of minors (ages 5โ17)
- Accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian, not the child directly
- The parent's email address is used for account verification and communications
- The parent provides explicit consent during signup, with timestamp and name recorded
- The parent controls the account, including the ability to view, update, or delete all data at any time
- Photos of minors are stored privately and never shared publicly without separate written photo release
Parental rights
Parents may at any time:
- Review the personal information we have collected about their child
- Request that we delete their child's information
- Refuse further collection or use of their child's information

3. Data Security
We take security seriously. Measures in place include:
- All data transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
- Passwords hashed and never stored in plain text
- Database hosted on SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure (Supabase)
- Row-level security ensuring students can only access their own data
- Coach access is authenticated and logged with full audit trail
- Photos stored in private buckets, never publicly accessible
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.
4. Terms of Service
By using Next Point Boston's website, services, or programs, you agree to the following:
Acceptable use
- You will provide accurate information when creating an account
- You will not use our services for any unlawful purpose
- You will not attempt to access another user's account or data
- You will not interfere with the operation of our website or services
Program enrollment
- The first trial session is free with no obligation
- Paid programs require completion of liability waiver and photo release forms
- Money-back guarantee available before the second paid session
- Refund requests after the second session are evaluated case by case
- Repeated refund requests may result in being declined from future programs
Photo release
Photos taken at sessions, tournaments, and events are stored privately in each student's account. Public use of photos (social media, marketing, website) requires a separate signed photo release form. You may withdraw photo consent at any time by emailing us.
5. Liability & Waivers
Tennis is a physical activity with inherent risks. All participants (or their parents/guardians for minors) must sign a liability waiver before participating in paid programs. The waiver releases Next Point Boston LLC, its coaches, and partners from liability for injuries occurring during normal participation in our programs.
Next Point Boston LLC carries general liability insurance through Next Insurance, policy number NXTJ373DTL-00-GL, with $2 million in coverage.
